Informing Your EdTech Vetting with Third-party Privacy Information
Districts continue to access large numbers of digital tools – over 1,400 tools a month on average according to recent data. It’s essential to have visibility into a solution’s data privacy practices as you vet tools for teachers and students, but it shouldn’t be your job alone. Districts, edtech providers and education partners should work together to ensure digital learning solutions are compliant with data privacy regulations, and are safe and secure in their handling of student data.

LearnPlatform’s preferred partnership with 1EdTech Consortium (formerly IMS Global Learning Consortium) provides actionable, visible TrustEd Apps certification data to K-12 school districts inside of LearnPlatform.

In this webinar, Kristie Lindell, VP of Product at LearnPlatform, and Monica Watts, Director of K-12 Engagement at 1EdTech, will discuss the importance of having this information readily visible during the vetting process, allowing them to take action that immediately benefits and protects teachers and students.

We will:
-Define key data privacy challenges facing K-12 districts today.
-Discuss how districts can (and already are) working with solution providers who commit to protecting student data.
-Provide ideas for building privacy compliance into district vetting processes.
-Share how LearnPlatform and 1EdTech are partnering to bring more actionable, visible privacy data to K-12 districts.
